Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking packages. The employee may utilize heavy machinery to complete tasks. This position performs other tasks as assigned in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Learns and properly executes UPS package handling methods.
• Loads and unloads UPS packages into trailers or package cars.
DESCRIPTION
• Starting hourly rate: $ 18/h
• Maximum rate: $ 30.11/h (probation + 48 month progression)
• Approximately 3-5 hours per day
• Tuition reimbursement (up to $2000) *conditions may apply
• Overtime after 5 hours of work.
REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./32 kgs.
• Ability to read and memorize postal codes
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
SHIFT:
• Sunday to Thursday, between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM (flexible).
• Please note that current operational needs average approximately 3 hours of work per day, typically from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
• UPS reserve the right to request coverage at any time within the 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM window, based on business needs.
