Oracle DBA L2

Immediate Joiners

Role Objective: Become a key member of the Oracle DBA team with hands on experience on Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Oracle Data Guard ensuring the optimal uptime and performance of our Oracle databases.

Detailed Roles And Responsibilities
• Database Management: Administer, configure, and support Oracle databases, ensuring they are available, secure, and performant.
• RAC & Clustering: Manage and configure Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), ensuring high availability, load balancing, and fault tolerance across multiple database instances.
• Data Guard: Implement, configure, and support Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery, ensuring seamless failover and replication of databases across locations.
• Database Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance
• Backup and Recovery: Maintain robust backup and recovery solutions for Oracle databases, including RMAN and Data Guard configurations.
• Patch Management: Apply Oracle patches, upgrades, and critical updates, ensuring system stability and compliance with Oracle’s best practices.
• Capacity Planning: Plan for database growth and provide recommendations for scaling databases efficiently.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure databases meet security standards, manage user access control, and perform audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date documentation for all database-related processes, configurations, and procedures.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, system administrators, and other teams to support database-driven applications and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Incident Management: Respond to database-related incidents, performing troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

Technical Expertise
• Proficient in Oracle database architecture, administration, and management.
• Strong expertise in Oracle RAC configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle Data Guard setup, configuration, and maintenance.
• Proficient in Oracle backup and recovery solutions, specifically RMAN.
• Strong experience in database performance tuning, including SQL optimization and query performance analysis.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and management.
• Familiarity with Oracle 12c/18c/1+c versions or higher.
• Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).

Proven experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a strong plus.
• Skills & Experience:
• tensive experience with Oracle Financials modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets.

In-depth knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite architecture and Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials.

Proficiency in configuring and customizing Oracle Financials to meet business needs.

Expertise in Oracle technologies: PL/SQL, SQL, Forms, Reports, Workflow, BI Publisher.

Skilled in developing customizations, extensions, interfaces, and workflows.

Experience with data migration, integration techniques, and Oracle reporting tools.

Familiar with Oracle administration tools and version control systems.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA with hands on RAC and Data Guard.
• Should have good communication skills with a can-do attitude.
• Good knowledge of Oracle RAC and Data Guard administration.
• Proficiency in configuring and customizing Oracle Financials to meet business needs.
• Behavioral Skills:
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Should be ready to learn new technologies and provide support wherever required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to interact with business users and colleagues effectively.
• High level of accuracy in system configurations, customizations, and reporting.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
