Job Description
Role: Oracle DBA
Job Location: Greater Noida
Responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, security, and performance of critical RDBMS systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our database platforms.
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
Provide 24X7 troubleshooting and support to database-related alerts and escalations on a rotating basis
Perform day-to-day management, patching, maintenance and backup of all databases.
Work with programming teams to ensure database changes adhere to best practices and are properly prioritized and scheduled.
Participate in upgrades and configuration modifications on the production systems.
Perform database health monitoring and usage metrics analysis.
Define, document, and deploy configuration management for disaster recovery processes.
Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of Oracle database administration and performance tuning.
knowledge of working with Linux systems
Experience with RMAN, Data Guard, and RAC
Expert Experience with query optimization
Oracle 12 multitenant architecture experience.
Solid understanding of database architecture, theories, principles, and practices
Strong knowledge in data modeling/schema design in both OLTP and data warehouse environments.
Familiar with change management processes, incident management processes.
Ability to detect and troubleshoot database-related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention issues.
Have proficiency with Linux for basic administrative tasks
Experience with scripting languages like shell scripting or Perl or Python. Experience with Git, Puppet is a big plus
