Optometric Assistant/Dry Eye Technician
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, patient-focused Optometric Assistant to join our growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in optical dispensing who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and is excited to expand their skills by becoming a Dry Eye Technician.
What You'll Do
Assist optometrists with patient care and clinical procedures.
Perform pre-testing and prepare patients for their examinations.
Provide expert optical dispensing, including frame styling, lens recommendations, measurements, fittings, and adjustments.
Educate patients on eyewear options and lens technologies.
Train to perform dry eye diagnostic testing and treatments as a Dry Eye Technician.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure smooth clinic flow.
Deliver outstanding customer service from check-in through eyewear dispensing.
Qualifications
Previous experience as an Optometric Assistant is required.
Strong optical dispensing experience is required.
Knowledge of lens products, coatings, frame fitting, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional, organized, and detail-oriented.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Willingness to learn and become certified/trained as a Dry Eye Technician (training provided).
