Job Title: Operations Manager – Education Industry

Location: Thane

Work Days: Monday to Saturday

Experience Required: Minimum 5–8 years in operations, preferably in the education sector

Reporting To: Director / CEO

Job Summary:

The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of the educational institution, ensuring smooth functioning across departments including administration, facilities, transport, admissions, and support services. This role is critical in aligning institutional goals with efficient operational execution and maintaining compliance with educational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Administrative Oversight

Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the institution.

Supervise admin staff and ensure timely execution of tasks.

Monitor attendance systems, inventory, and record-keeping.

2. Facility Infrastructure Management

Ensure upkeep of school/college facilities (classrooms, labs, library, etc.).

Coordinate with vendors for repairs, maintenance, and upgrades.

Manage transport, security, housekeeping, and cafeteria services.

3. Compliance Regulatory

Ensure adherence to statutory and educational board regulations.

Coordinate inspections, audits, and maintain required documentation.

Handle affiliations, licenses, and renewals.

4. Admission Student Services

Support the admissions process: inquiries, counseling, registrations, and enrollment.

Ensure quality experience for students and parents during onboarding.

Assist with student grievance handling and feedback resolution.

5. Staff Vendor Coordination

Liaise with academic and non-academic staff to support curriculum delivery.

Coordinate with HR for hiring, onboarding, and training of support staff.

Manage third-party service providers and evaluate their performance.

6. Event Timetable Coordination

Assist in planning and execution of academic and co-curricular events.

Coordinate logistics for exams, parent-teacher meetings, and seminars.

Ensure efficient scheduling of classes and activities.

7. Budgeting Cost Control

Assist in budgeting for operations, supplies, and maintenance.

Track expenses and ensure cost-effective procurement.

Prepare reports for management review.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Business Administration, Operations, or relevant field.

Proven experience in school/college operations or a similar administrative role.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proficiency in MS Office and school management systems (ERP knowledge is a plus).

Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
