Operations & Business Development Manager – Intercity Bus Operations
Job Description
Work Location: North Delhi
Key Responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end intercity bus operations to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time service delivery.
• Supervise operational staff, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to company policies and service standards.
• Plan vehicle deployment, route scheduling, and dispatch operations for optimum fleet utilization.
• Oversee revenue collection, financial reconciliation, and operational reporting.
• Monitor route profitability, analyze P&L, and implement cost optimization initiatives.
• Develop and execute business development strategies to increase passenger revenue and market share.
• Identify new routes, partnerships, and growth opportunities based on market demand and competitor analysis.
• Develop pricing strategies and recommend fare revisions to maximize revenue.
• Manage relationships with online booking platforms, channel partners, and key stakeholders.
• Ensure prompt resolution of customer and partner issues to maintain high service standards.
• Analyze operational and business performance metrics and recommend continuous improvements.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 5–8 years of experience in intercity bus operations, transportation, or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of fleet operations, route planning, business development, revenue optimization, and pricing strategies.
• Proven experience in operations management, P&L, budgeting, and business growth.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MIS reporting, operational management systems, and digital ticketing/online sales platforms.
