OakNorth is a profitable business that has supported the growth of thousands of entrepreneurs with a new standard of business lending.We're looking for people to join our engineering team in building upon this success, as we grow to play a key part in redefining the future of business banking with next generation financial tools and products.Job responsibilities:- Have a strong technical background, including extensive experience of delivering high uptime, high throughput systems in production. This is a transformation role, so experience dealing with legacy systems/teams and strategies to develop or replace them is highly advantageous.- Success in this role is transforming a traditionally structured team (frontend, backend, QA, Ops) into a flat hierarchy of small squads, each focused-on product areas and able to deliver reliably and quickly into production and through the process, embed core engineering principles such as: TDD, CI/CD, DevOps culture and feedback loops.- We're looking for a servant leader who understands how to create high performing teams focused on delivering business and user value.
