Nursery Apprenticeship/Play worker for Holidaay club
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children in a nurturing environment. This role involves working closely with children to support their development, ensuring their safety and well-being while fostering a love for learning.
Duties
Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment indoors and outdoors for the children.
Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum through play-based activities.
Observe children's progress, help assess their learning, and plan next steps.
Champion individual children, fostering their confidence and independence.
Assist with daily routines like mealtimes, snacks, and hygiene (nappy changing).
Ensure the nursery meets all health and safety standards and Ofsted requirements.
Adhere to safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Respond to emergencies, accidents, and incidents.
Prepare and maintain a clean and tidy learning environment and equipment.
Assist with trips and outings, ensuring safety for all involved.
Support the wider staff team and cover for absences or holidays.
Develop strong relationships with parents/carers to involve them in their child's development.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and other professional
Complete all academic aspects of the apprenticeship, including functional skills
Participate in staff meetings, training, and relevant courses.
Work towards completing the apprenticeship framework.
Job Types: Part-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: £8.00-£12.21 per hour
