The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary
The Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Awards program is looking for a casual employee to assist with preparations for the awards ceremony and to help organize and digitize a video and audio archive of winners.
Responsibilities
Assist with the preparations for the duPont awards ceremony.
Maintain an ongoing log of assets.
Minimum Qualifications
Should be familiar with news programming and current events, and have basic digital media skills, i.e can load video onto YouTube or post pictures onto Flickr or Facebook,
Candidate is well organized and detail-oriented, mature and responsible, and can work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with news programming.
Strong awareness of current events.
Broader digital media experience beyond basic uploading (optional higher-level interpretation).
Prior experience in a newsroom, media, or journalism environment (implied preference).
