• *Primary Functions**

The Night Watch offer the safety of our guests as well as our staff reporting any damage or faulty equipment as it is seen. She/he must be able to assess certain situations and be prepared to make fast responsible judgement calls as they represent the Hotel in the absence of Managers. Guests must be able to sleep in a hotel, unfettered by concerns of danger, as well as Managers need to have the peace of mind that the property is being supervised in a mature, responsible, professional manner at all times. Job description will evolve over time to suit the needs of the business, updates will be provided in ample with amount of time.
• *Hours: Full-time**

Shifts: Nights 6 pm to 2 am (some days may vary).
• *Responsibilities and Essential Duties**
- Conducts scheduled patrols of both of our hotel properties, including on-site staff accommodations.
- Oversees security and safety of our guests and hotel.
- Will patrol hallways, stairwells, parking lots, all facilities, and all public areas around our properties but could be limited to one specific area due to frequent disruptions.
- Work closely with Front Desk team, responding to complaints from guests, patrons, and tenants of staff housing.
- Respond to Front Desk for delivery of items to guest rooms, and maintenance issues.
- Ensure compliance to all provincial and federal legislation and hotel policies and standards.
- Prepare written reports and documentation of all incidents at the end of each shift.
- Heavy or Light cleaning duties throughout the shift depending on hotel occupancy.
- Escort / find a safe ride home for guests that are in the lounge and restaurant.
- Assist the front desk and/ or guests with moving heavy luggage or packages (up to 50lbs)
• *Knowledge / Skills**
- Quick, critical decision making.
- Be familiar with all safety systems, security plans and procedures of hotel, WCB and OHS regulations.
- Be professional at all times and maintain highest confidentiality.
- First Aid Certificate is an asset.
