Description
Our financial services client undergoing a strategic technology transformation, is migrating existing desktop-based .NET applications to modern web-based platforms. We are seeking a skilled .NET Developer to join our team and play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing web solutions that enhance our operational efficiency and client experience.
Responsibilities
• Application Migration: Convert legacy desktop .NET applications (WinForms/WPF) into scalable, secure, and responsive web applications.
• Web Development: Design and develop web-based solutions using ASP.NET Core, C#, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Integration: Implement APIs and services to integrate with internal systems and third-party platforms.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure applications meet high standards for performance, security, and reliability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
• Testing & Deployment: Write unit tests, perform code reviews, and support deployment in cloud or on-prem environments.
• Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation for migrated and new applications.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 7+ years of professional .NET development experience.
• Prior experience in application migration projects is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
• Experience with ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with WinForms/WPF for understanding legacy systems.
• Knowledge of SQL Server and database design.
• Experience with front end - HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Blazor.
Preferred Skills
• Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to investment management, financial services, or similar regulated industries is highly desirable.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of security best practices for financial applications.
