About the role

The Allied Health team at Te Rau Kawakawa/Buller Health is looking for a National Travel Assistance (NTA) Coordinator to join our team of enthusiastic and dedicated multidisciplinary professionals.

The NTA Coordinator is responsible for facilitating local claims for travel assistance as required by Health NZ as contracted by the Ministry of Health. You will contribute to the overall goal of Health NZ to provide quality health care through assisting patients to attend appointments with their health Specialists.

This role requires someone who can work independently and is self-motivated, as well as having the ability to engage and communicate with health professionals and the community.

As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claim settlement this role has been mapped to Band 4 / Profile 4

What you - ll do with your time

Facilitating local claims for travel assistance as required by Health NZ West Coast Te Tai o Poutini as contracted by the Ministry of Health
Assess client eligibility and process claims as per the NTA Policy
Liaising with all appropriate health professionals and other agencies to ensure we achieve the best outcomes for our patients
About you

We are looking for someone with the following traits

Sound administrative and computer skills
Organised with the ability to keep clear and accurate records
Excellent people and communication skills
The ability to work independently, yet seek support when needed
Strong cultural awareness
Having knowledge of the primary to secondary health service interface would be an advantage
You must be flexible; with excellent time management
