Are you ready to drive safety, quality and operational excellence on a national scale? Ventia is seeking a National Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Manager to support our Defence Base Services Contract, leading strategic SHEQ initiatives across diverse and complex operations throughout Australia.

About the Role

As the National SHEQ Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and governance across multiple Defence contracts, ensuring compliance, effective risk management and continuous improvement in SHEQ performance. Additionally, you'll:

Lead the implementation and continual improvement of SHEQ systems, policies and programs nationally
Manage investigations into incidents and non-conformances, driving corrective and preventative actions
Provide expert guidance to operational leaders on safety, environmental and quality matters
Oversee audits, risk assessments, compliance activities and governance reporting
Drive SHEQ initiatives that enhance workforce wellbeing, operational performance and culture
Lead, mentor and develop a team of SHEQ professionals across multiple locations

What we’re looking for

Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Quality or a related discipline
Extensive experience in a senior SHEQ leadership role within a complex operational environment
Strong experience leading investigations, risk management and compliance programs
Lead Auditor qualifications and experience with ISO management systems
Demonstrated people leadership experience with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance
