NAS TrueNAS Expert Support for Configuration and Maintenance

Job description
Description: I’m looking for an experienced NAS (Network Attached Storage) professional to assist with configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing my TrueNAS setup. This will include tasks such as integrating the NAS with existing services (Nextcloud, Docker/Kubernetes apps), managing datasets, troubleshooting permissions issues, and optimizing performance for long-term reliability.

If you're an expert in NAS systems, particularly TrueNAS, and comfortable with advanced networking, containerization, and storage management, I’d love to work with you!

Responsibilities:
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot TrueNAS setup (local and remote access).
• Assist with application setup (Nextcloud, Docker/Kubernetes-based services).
• Resolve issues related to dataset permissions and synchronization.
• Ensure secure access and data redundancy.
• Help integrate NAS with external domains (DNS, SSL configuration).
• Provide optimization tips for performance, scalability, and backup strategies.
• Diagnose and solve issues related to containerized applications, permissions, or datasets.
• Ensure smooth integration of NAS with other cloud or local services.

Requirements:
• Proven experience working with TrueNAS or similar NAS systems.
• Strong understanding of storage, datasets, and ZFS file system management.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment.
• Familiarity with Nextcloud configuration and integration.
• Strong networking skills (port forwarding, DNS, SSL certificates).
• Understanding of NAS security best practices.
• Experience troubleshooting file permission issues in both Linux and Docker environments.
• Ability to work remotely and provide timely support.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
