Help Build the Fastest Growing European Auto Repair Company in Southern California
This is NOT a traditional HR position.
This is NOT a typical office manager role.
This is a leadership opportunity for someone who wants to help build an amazing company while creating systems that support hundreds of future employees.
What You'll Own
Payroll & Compensation Administration
Verify payroll accuracy twice monthly
Review commissions, bonuses, and technician pay plans
Audit employee hours and payroll reports
Manage garnishments and unemployment claims
Ensure final checks and payroll compliance are accurate
Answer employee payroll and compensation questions
Benefits Administration
Manage health insurance enrollments and terminations
Coordinate directly with brokers and insurance carriers
Audit payroll deductions for accuracy
Lead annual open enrollment
Manage employee eligibility and coverage updates
Oversee UNUM and related benefits programs
Retirement Plan Administration
Manage 401(k) contribution submissions
Coordinate with Capital Group and retirement providers
Maintain employee eligibility and roster updates
Assist with Safe Harbor, Profit Sharing, and Cash Balance Plan administration
Coordinate with TPAs, advisors, and plan administrators
HR & Compliance
Maintain employee handbook and company policies
Review offers, compensation plans, and employee agreements
Ensure employment compliance and documentation accuracy
Support onboarding and offboarding processes
Maintain BambooHR and QuickBooks employee records
Financial Operations
Review P&Ls and investigate discrepancies
Monitor vendor statements and bookkeeping processes
Oversee QuickBooks integrations and banking connections
Coordinate with accounting, tax, and bookkeeping partners
Assist ownership with financial reporting and analysis
Company Culture & Employee Experience
Plan employee appreciation events
Coordinate holiday parties and company activities
Support employee recognition programs
Help maintain a positive, professional workplace culture
Assist with special projects that improve employee experience

✅ What We're Looking For
Required Experience
5+ years of experience in Operations, HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance Administration, or Business Operations
Strong organizational and project management skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Experience handling confidential employee and financial information
Comfortable working with payroll systems and financial reports
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Experience
