About Alluvium Media
Alluvium Media is a video content agency helping ambitious founders and innovative companies turn their ideas into content that gets attention.
We work primarily with DeepTech, ClimateTech, HealthTech, SaaS and technology companies, creating short-form video content for LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
Our clients have complex ideas, exciting products and a lot to say. Our job is to make those ideas simple, engaging and visually compelling.
We're looking for a Motion Designer & Video Editor who can help us do exactly that.
The Role
You'll be responsible for turning raw footage, scripts and creative concepts into high-quality short-form content.
This isn't a role where you're simply cutting clips and adding captions.
We want someone who understands pacing, storytelling, visual hierarchy and attention.
You'll work on everything from founder-led talking-head videos and podcast clips to animated explainers, tech content, product videos and social media creatives.
You'll have the opportunity to work with companies building genuinely interesting things, particularly in areas like AI, robotics, biotech, climate technology, energy and advanced technology.
What You'll Be Doing
• Create motion graphics and animations that make complex ideas easy to understand
• Design animated hooks, transitions, diagrams, charts and visual explanations
• Add captions, sound design, music and other elements that improve retention
• Develop visual styles for different clients and maintain brand consistency
• Take creative direction and turn concepts into finished videos
• Experiment with new editing and motion design techniques
• Work with our creative team to iterate on content based on client feedback
• Occasionally create longer-form content, trailers, ads and other creative assets
What We're Looking For
Must-have:
• Strong video editing skills
• Strong motion design skills
• Excellent understanding of pacing and storytelling
• Strong knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro
• Good eye for typography, composition and visual design
• Understanding of short-form content and what makes people stop scrolling
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• A portfolio that demonstrates your editing and motion design ability
The Type of Person We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is obsessed with making things look good.
You notice when a transition feels slightly off.
You care about whether a caption is on screen for the right amount of time.
You know when a video feels boring, even if you can't immediately explain why.
You're constantly saving videos because you want to understand how they were made.
You don't need someone telling you exactly where every cut should go. You can take a brief, understand the objective and make creative decisions yourself.
Most importantly, you're curious.
Our clients work on technologies that can be difficult to understand. You should enjoy learning about unfamiliar subjects and figuring out how to communicate them visually.
