Westland Milk Products is seeking an experienced Milk Supply Manager to lead our West Coast milk supply team and help shape the future of supplier services. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone who can combine commercial thinking, people leadership and industry expertise to support our farmers and ensure a reliable, high-quality milk supply for our business.
About the Role
Reporting to the GM Milk Supply, you'll lead a team of Milk Supply Partners responsible for supporting and strengthening relationships with West Coast dairy farmers. You'll play a key role in delivering our milk supply strategy, driving supplier engagement, managing quality and compliance outcomes, and identifying opportunities to improve performance through data, insights and continuous improvement.
This is a highly visible role that requires regular engagement with suppliers, industry stakeholders and internal teams, helping ensure farmers receive a proactive, consistent and customer-focused experience.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead and develop a team of 4 Milk Supply Partners.
Drive regional milk supply performance and supplier engagement.
Foster trusted relationships with key existing and prospective suppliers.
Monitor on farm milk quality, supply trends, risks and regional performance.
Support compliance across food safety, environmental, animal welfare and farm assurance standards.
Translate data and reporting into practical business insights.
Champion continuous improvement and digital adoption.
Collaborate across Quality, Environmental, Finance and Supplier Services teams to deliver outstanding outcomes for farmers and the business.
About You
You are a credible rural industry professional who understands the challenges and opportunities facing New Zealand farmers. You're a people leader who enjoys coaching teams, building relationships and making commercially sound decisions.
You'll bring:
8+ years' experience in dairy, agribusiness, milk supply or rural services.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.
Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Commercial acumen and the ability to use data to drive decisions.
Knowledge of dairy industry compliance, quality, environmental and assurance requirements.
A continuous improvement mindset and confidence using systems and reporting tools.
The flexibility to travel regularly throughout the West Coast region.
