Responsibilities
The Lab Technician is responsible for assisting the Chemists, Sr
Chemists, and Manager with administrative tasks within the Tiffany & Co
Merchandise Testing Laboratory
This role is responsible for sample preparation as well as testing of incoming product and manufacturing materials
Perform routine laboratory functions that include weighing of gold, silver or platinum samples for gravimetric or instrumental analysis
Perform non-destructive analysis of samples that include X-Ray Fluorescence and Stress Testing of Crystal using a Polarimeter
Prepare samples for food contact testing or performance testing and document results
Organize and file laboratory data and documentation
Assist with data entry utilizing Microsoft Access databases and issue reports for samples submitted to the lab
Assist with shipping, receiving and repacking test samples in to and out of the Merchandise Testing Laboratory (MTL)
Conduct routine set up and maintenance of laboratory equipment and glassware
Participate in all safety training seminars and follow all job safety requirements

The Lab Technician is responsible for assisting the Chemists, Sr. Chemists, and Manager with administrative tasks within the Tiffany & Co. Merchandise Testing Laboratory. This role is responsible for sample preparation as well as testing of incoming product and manufacturing materials.
Key Accountabilities
• Perform routine laboratory functions that include weighing of gold, silver or platinum samples for gravimetric or instrumental analysis. Assignment Duration: 6-month temporary contract.
The hiring range for this position ranges from $23.50 -$27.50 per hour. The rate of pay offered will be dependent on candidates' relevant skills and experience.
