Job description
As an administrative tribunal with quasi-judicial powers, the Transportation Appeal Tribunal of Canada (TATC) has the responsibility of processing and deciding reviews and appeals of decisions from the Department of Transport and some decisions from the Canadian Transportation Agency.
Members will be called to adjudicate, review, and appeal hearings. Members function as independent, administrative tribunal decision-makers mandated to provide fair and impartial quasi-judicial review and appeal hearings. Members hear cases on an as-needed basis. Depending on the case load of the TATC and the availability of other members with similar skill sets, Members may hear between one and six cases per year scheduled around their individual availability.
Further details about the Tribunal and its activities can be found on its website.
