Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Textile role based in Ahmedabad. The role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals and internal teams to understand clinical requirements and translate them into appropriate textile specifications and designs. Daily responsibilities include reviewing medical use cases, assessing fabric performance for safety and comfort, and supporting the development and testing of textiles intended for use in different medical specialties. The team member will contribute to documentation and compliance activities, coordinate with production to ensure adherence to standards, and assist in quality control for medical textile products. The role also includes monitoring industry trends, supporting customer inquiries, and participating in cross-functional meetings to refine product offerings.
Qualifications
• Strong foundation in general Medicine and understanding of clinical environments relevant to medical textiles.
• Knowledge of Cardiology applications, including requirements for textiles used in cardiac care settings.
• Familiarity with Orthopedic Surgery contexts and textile needs for orthopedic supports, dressings, and related products.
• Understanding of Treatment workflows and the functional, hygienic, and comfort requirements of textiles used in patient care.
• Awareness of Neurology-related use cases where specialized fabrics may support patient safety, mobility, or monitoring.
• Background in biomedical engineering, medical textiles, textile technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with regulatory standards, infection control, and quality assurance in healthcare products is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly with clinical and technical stakeholders.
• Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and willingness to learn about evolving medical and textile technologies.
