English Teacher/Maths Teacher

Reports to: Head of Exams

Location: Base campus with requirement to travel within campus cluster

Days: 0.4 – 1.0FTE roles available, 39 weeks per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £43, 135.47 (FTE), £50,468.50 (London weighting, FTE) prorated for part-time employees

We are looking for brilliant Maths Teachers and English Teachers to join the Pinc Team. You will be based at a specific campus but will deliver in-person teaching within your campus cluster. You will work collaboratively with each campus team which consists of: Head of Programmes, Assistant Head of Programmes, Teacher Creative Programmes and Programme Support.

Our campus clusters are as follows: Leeds Museum & Leeds Art Gallery (Leeds), Cartwright Hall & Dean Clough (Bradford & Halifax), Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery & Aston Hall (Birmingham), Touchstones, Salford Art Gallery, Bolton Museum (Greater Manchester), Manchester Museum, 22 Lever St, Manchester Craft & Design Centre (Central Manchester), Heritage Centre, The Potteries & Middleport (Macclesfield & Stoke), National Museum (Cardiff), Design Museum (London).

Role Overview

Plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality English and Maths teaching for learners aged 16–25 on Functional Skills, (Entry Level 1 to Level 2) and GCSE

Deliver multidisciplinary high quality, innovative teaching and learning

Responsible for all students, including those with SEND, make strong academic, practical, social, and emotional progress.

Model and embed Pinc’s pedagogy, methodology and universal strategies.

Create a neuro-affirming and trauma-informed learning environment.

Assist with building partnerships with cultural spaces and community organisations to enrich learning.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching, Learning & Curriculum Delivery

Plan and deliver English or Maths programmes, including Functional Skills and GCSE.

Differentiate teaching using universal strategies.

Use sensory, visual, and kinaesthetic approaches.

Embed Pinc pedagogy throughout lessons.

Connect learning with cultural/woodland venues and create engaging schemes of learning by embedding real world and asset-based learning, gaining support from wider Pinc Group team members and resources.

Work with the campus team to deliver well-coordinated sessions and facilitate independent learning.

Assessment & Progress Tracking

Record meaningful ILP targets and progress.

Provide high quality, developmental feedback through a variety of methods including session goal booklets.

Contribute evidence to EHCP reviews.

Ensure progress point completion throughout the year.

Use intervention strategies effectively where students are falling below their potential.

Meet deadlines, targets and KPIs

SEND, Wellbeing & Pastoral Support

Collaborate with Programme Support colleagues to maintain and improve student experience and outcomes.

Support emotional literacy and independence.

Build safe, trauma-informed relationships.

Embed strength-based, neuro-affirming approaches.

Act as a safeguarding practitioner.

Follow risk assessments.

Ensure safe use of tools and materials.

Respond appropriately to disclosures and incidents.

Community & Partnerships

Link learning to cultural/community partners and real-world contexts (where appropriate).

Communication & Teamwork

Attend daily briefings and team meetings.

Share resources and best practice.

Engage positively with parents and carers.

Disseminate information from external networks and training to the wider team.

Work effectively with the English or Maths Lead, Teaching, Performance and Development Lead and Quality of Curriculum and Outcomes Lead.
