Social Worker
Part-time, fixed term – term time only for Terms 3 and 4, 2026
4 days per week [0.8FTTE]
Are you self managing?
Are you a fully qualified, registered social worker ?
Do you have experience working with tamariki, ākonga and their whānau? Is building relationships one of your strengths ?
Do you have a wide knowledge and experience of social service providers and NGOs in the Canterbury region?
Do you have experience providing education to groups, or willing to give it a go?
We are looking for a registered social worker with experience working with whānau to join our team. The role will be based at Te Puna Wai o Waipapa – Hagley College with one day and a half based at Ao Tawhiti School. The social worker role will involve travel to schools and outside agencies. Home visits may be required.
Remuneration will be subject to qualifications and experience and negotiated with the successful applicant.

Te Puna Wai o Waipapa – Hagley College is seeking a permanent, full-time Maths kaiako who loves working with young people and can develop positive, mana-enhancing relationships with ākonga, whānau, and staff.
We require a passionate teacher who is always looking to improve their practice. If you are a future focused and innovative kaiako, come and join our Maths Department from Term 1, 2027.
Ideally you will have the ability to teach all levels of the NZ Curriculum and NCEA, also be a NZ registered, certificated teacher.

HOD – Counselling
Full-time, permanent – 3MU [ 0.89FTTE]
Te Puna Wai o Waipapa – Hagley College is seeking a full-time permanent leader of our Guidance and Counselling Team who loves working with young people and can develop positive, mana-enhancing relationships with ākonga, whānau, and staff.
The HOD will lead a team of three other counsellors of various permanent part time hours, 2-3 student counsellors, a mental health adviser and a social worker. The team are also supported by an administrator. It is a vibrant and busy place.
NZAC current registration and be a Registered NZ teacher.
