Role Description As a Market Analyst at NGflows, you will be responsible for researching and analyzing the energy market, including natural gas pricing trends, supply-demand dynamics, and regulatory changes. Your insights will directly contribute to the optimization of gas purchasing strategies, transport reservations, and risk management for our clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide actionable recommendations that help guide business and operational decisions. Key Responsibilities : Market Research : Continuously monitor and analyze the natural gas market, including pricing trends, supply-demand shifts, and regulatory developments. Data Analysis : Use advanced data analysis techniques to track market movements, evaluate pricing forecasts, and identify opportunities for optimizing gas procurement strategies. Forecasting : Develop short-term and long-term market forecasts to support gas purchase recommendations, transport reservations, and optimization strategies. Strategic Recommendations : Provide actionable recommendations for clients and internal teams to minimize costs, manage risks, and enhance overall operational efficiency. Reporting : Prepare market reports and presentations summarizing key findings, trends, and recommendations for senior leadership and clients. Collaboration : Work closely with the operations, analytics, and trading teams to integrate market insights into purchasing strategies and operational decisions. Risk Management : Analyze market volatility and external factors that may impact pricing or supply, and provide insights to mitigate potential risks for the company and clients. Key Qualifications : Experience : Proven experience as a Market Analyst in the energy or natural gas sector, or a related field, with a deep understanding of market dynamics, pricing, and regulations. Analytical Skills : Strong ability to analyze and interpret complex data, including market trends, pricing data, and supply-demand forecasts. Tools & Techniques : Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel. Experience with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus. Industry Knowledge : Familiarity with natural gas markets, energy pricing, transportation, and regulatory frameworks is preferred. Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Problem-Solving : Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying trends and proposing solutions that align with business objectives. Team Player : Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, strategy, and client-facing teams.
