St. Joseph’s General Hospital Elliot Lake (SJGHEL) is a Centre of Excellence and was founded on the rich history and legacy of the Sisters of St. Joseph, who built and administered the Hospital. SJGHEL is a 55-bed hospital with three satellite offices. It is the largest corporation in 3.5-hour corridor between Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury, Ontario that provides; Obstetrical Services, Intensive Care, Surgical Services, Specialist Clinics, Addictions Treatment Services, CT Scanning, Dialysis Services, and Inpatient/Outpatient Diabetes Education and Care. We also provide the largest satellite Oncology Program with over 500 visits annually.

SJGHEL is seeking a Manager, Patient Care Clinical Services to join our leadership team. The Manager will work in collaboration with the Chief Nursing Executive/ VP- Quality and Clinical Services to assess the needs and operations of the Nursing Department, as well as function in close partnership with other health care providers to ensure care given in the clinical setting is consistent with the vision, mission, and values of SJGHEL.

As a systems thinker you will utilize your expertise to bring innovation into the planning and implementation of strategies, programs, and initiatives in achieving SJGHEL strategic goals, and will collaborate with various stakeholders to support excellence in patient care. You are a leader with strong interpersonal skills and will develop partnerships at all levels in the organization and foster relationships. You will lead by example and utilize your change management skills to support departmental and organizational change and foster a high performing and engaged culture committed to continuous improvement. The portfolio will be assigned based on the candidate's experience and alignment with the organization's needs.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of a four (4) year Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or other regulated Health related field from an accredited university. The successful candidate must also have a current registration with a regulatory college, a minimum of five (5) years experience in a hospital setting, including leadership or management experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

1. Four (4) year Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related health care field from an accredited post secondary institution is required.

2. Registration and good standing with a professional college is required.

3.Competent to perform CPR.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Five (5) years of current nursing or clinical healthcare experience.

2. Experience in a hospital setting is required

3. Experience in leadership or supervising is preferred.

4. Experience in a unionized environment is preferred.

5. Experience in financial planning and budget execution is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

1. Knowledge of, and willingness to support SJGHEL’s Mission, Vision Values of Compassion, Humility and Harmony, Respect, Integrity, Social Responsibility and The Sacredness of Life.

2. Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills with an ability to manage, motivate and develop a diverse team.

3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with staff, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

4. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

5. Skilled in planning, executing and overseeing projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

6. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and handle unexpected challenges with ease.

7. Demonstrated strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Pay: $120,413.00-$138,411.00 per year
