Our Finance team partners closely with business areas, working collaboratively to provide expert financial advisory services, including strategic accounting and financial guidance that supports the department's goals, budgets, processes, and systems.

Role Details

The Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Manager, Finance Business Partnerships to lead a team of Finance professionals through a critical period of change.

This senior role plays an essential part in shaping the Department’s financial strategy, ensuring the integrity of our budget planning, monitoring, and reporting processes, and will include participating in managing staff transition to new core financial systems and driving continuous improvements in financial practices.

Reporting to the Director, Finance, you will work alongside Departmental leadership and drive financial outcomes through analysis, strategic insight, and collaborative leadership of a team of Finance professionals.

You will build and maintain effective partnerships with senior leaders and operational teams, continuing to position the Finance team as a trusted and value advisor across the Department.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline and ideally, have also completed professional qualifications offered by CPA Australia or the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).

Role Status: Ongoing

Salary Range: 1$27,859 - $127,859 (MAS3)

Location: Adelaide
