As a Principal Architect, you will take the lead in driving strategic planning, data integration, governance, and platform development. Your expertise will be pivotal in enabling our ongoing research efforts, empowering us to stay at the forefront of innovation. Together, we will develop groundbreaking treatments that are redefining healthcare as we know it.
Johnson and Johnson Enterprise Architecture CBT is recruiting for a Manager Enterprise Architect focusing on architecture activities in support of the Global Legal Digital Transformation, a series of highly complex, multi-year, business and technology transformation initiatives. Will be responsible for architecting scalable solutions across various business units, minimizing technical debt, and ensuring accountability for intricate structures while focusing on the modernization of our technology core. Will establish and leverage best practices and standards to enhance operational efficiency and agility, empowering cross-functional teams to adapt and respond swiftly to change. Architecture activities will span product initiation, development, integration, data migration and ongoing support working with business partners, technology teams and vendors.
This is a pivotal role in modernization of the Legal Landscape by demonstrating your in-depth technical expertise and interpersonal skills.
Position overview:
This person will report directory to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Architecture Legal as part of Corporate Business Technology Organization.
Responsibilities:
Lead our architectural vision, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards while pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
Design robust, scalable solutions that integrate seamlessly and enforce enterprise architecture standards.
Simplify technical concepts for diverse stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and buy-in
Focus on collaborative innovation by being a partner with engineering, platform, and product teams to align technical implementation with business needs and value.
Provide architectural guidance on technology, data, and security strategies, mentoring teams to embrace best practices
Have a security mindset by integrating security measures into every aspect of your designs educating teams on the latest security standards and risks
Focus on Data Strategy by developing high-performance data pipelines and governance practices that promote quality and accessibility
Stay ahead of trends in architecture, ensuring our solutions not only meet current needs but are future-ready
Develop a culture of innovation through continuous learning, mentoring team members, and driving personal development initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 4 years of experience in Enterprise Solution Architecture, Integrations and large data migration required.
Experience with Salesforce implementation as an Architect and/or Tech Lead required
Experience owning the selection, design, and integration of platforms including data management, API architecture/design, and Cloud Native technologies required
Foundational skills (at minimum) in Data Engineering, Cybersecurity, Intelligent Automation and Emerging Technology required
Experience leading teams to balance priorities within the backlog required
Strong problem-solving skills with ability of accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment required
Strong proponent of change – agile in response, advocating for improvements within and across the organization required
Understanding of Life Sciences industry, pharma RD and / or relevant domains preferred
Experience as a Data Architect with deep insight into the newest technology preferred
Travel:
Travel required up to 25%.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$100,000-$172,500
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
