Job Description

Join the world’s largest humanitarian movement and drive the migration of complex, business-critical data
12-month Project role - Part time (30.4 hours per week)
Flexible location + hybrid working
About Red Cross

Australian Red Cross is part of the world’s largest humanitarian movement. We support and empower people and communities in times of vulnerability. We act for humanity.

About the role

Be at the forefront of a major digital transformation at Australian Red Cross as our Data Migration Manager within the IT Application Delivery team. This is a high-impact role where you will lead the end-to-end data migration strategy for the Client Services and Billing System (FFS) program—critical to enabling our transition to a modern, fee-for-service operating model.

You’ll drive the migration of complex, business-critical data from a diverse legacy landscape (including Pivotal CRM, Access Databases, and other program-specific portals) into a Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem (Finance, Supply Chain Management and CRM). Your expertise will ensure data is trusted, secure and audit-ready, directly supporting compliant service delivery, accurate activity-based billing across multiple service lines and regulatory obligations—particularly within sectors such as Aged Care.

You’ll design and execute robust migration approaches that:
Ensure high data quality, accuracy and integrity across all migrated datasets
Align with complex billing structures and regulatory frameworks (including Aged Care Act requirements)
Safeguard and preserve critical service, client and financial data
Enable a smooth transition with minimal operational disruption
About you

You are a highly capable Data Migration professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced IT environments and has a proven ability to lead large-scale migration initiatives end to end. You bring a strong blend of technical expertise, commercial insight and stakeholder leadership, enabling you to deliver high-quality, compliant data outcomes across enterprise platforms.

You’re confident analysing, designing and implementing data migration solutions, and enjoy working across multiple systems, vendors and teams to ensure data is accurate, secure and aligned with regulatory and business requirements. Both strategic and hands-on, you excel at translating complex data challenges into practical, scalable solutions that drive real business impact.

Key person requirements

Proven ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams, fostering an inclusive and high-performing environment
Strong problem-solving capability, with experience using data and insights to identify risks and deliver effective solutions
Advanced analytical skills with experience delivering complex, large-scale data migration projects
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to interpret and translate regulatory and compliance-driven data requirements
Deep understanding of data migration methodologies (ETL/ELT), data mapping, transformation and data quality frameworks
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance, Supply Chain Management and/or CRM), and strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g. SQL Server)
Solid understanding of integration platforms and data ecosystems, with exposure to tools such as Boomi preferred
Strong commercial acumen, particularly in financial and billing data structures
Working knowledge of IT service management, SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies
Demonstrated project and vendor management experience in multi-vendor environments
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS) and modern data architectures
Experience implementing master data management practices and frameworks
Familiarity with data pipelines, workflow tools and visualisation platforms such as Power BI
Resilient, adaptable and accountable, with a strong focus on delivering customer-centric outcomes
Benefits that act for you, while you act for humanity.
