About the role:
A Penetration Tester is a specialist role. While a Penetration Tester role has a core area of responsibility, this should not be considered an exclusive focus. The role is expected to cross specialist domains and contribute to the overall development and professional excellence of the business.
This role reports to the Managing Consultant. This is a client facing role and as such it carries client delivery and consulting responsibility. It has a primary role for delivery of technical testing and analysis services (i.e. penetration testing) to Fujitsu clients. This role will be expected to be conversant with common testing techniques and processes and to also incorporate the specialist threat hunting tools and techniques used at Fujitsu Cyber Security Services (FCSS). The primary outcome for this role will be the identification of security vulnerabilities and risks within client environments.
As a specialist role, the role is expected to devote time to the personal development and training of other Fujitsu employees. Specific training and development outcomes will be specified by the Managing Consultant.
This role will work closely with the Managing Consultant. Australian Citizenship is mandatory. Current or reinstatable AGSVA Baseline Security clearance is preferred.
Location: Canberra location and role offers hybrid working.
Responsibilities
These responsibilities include:
Penetration testing (Network, Wi-Fi, Web Application, Mobile Application, etc.)
Configuration, Firewall, and code reviews
Architectural design reviews
Vulnerability assessment
Threat research and threat hunting
Threat intelligence integration into managed services
Risk assessment and development of recommendations
Report writing
Project management
Time management and (in consultation with FCSS senior management) priority management of engagements
Manage and meet deadlines or report expectations
Mentoring and development of staff in relation to offensive security
Secondary responsibilities may include:
Deliver security training on Penetration testing to junior penetration testers
Peer review reports delivered by other members of the team
Assist with the preparation of pre-sales and sales collateral and documentation
Assist with the delivery of pre-sales and post sales customer meetings
Assist with management of revenue targets and other performance measures
Identification of resource and capability requirements
Requirements and Experience
To succeed in this role you will have:
Previous penetration testing experience.
Australian Citizenship is mandatory. Current or reinstatable AGSVA Baseline Security clearance is preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in high-pressure scenarios
