As one of the largest regeneration projects in the UK, Barking Riverside is a new riverfront town in East London delivering a thriving new eco-district comprising of over 10,000 homes, new schools, commercial and cultural offerings along 2km of beautiful south-facing Thames River frontage.
Reporting to the Senior Development Finance Manager, the Management Accountant will take on a varied and challenging role supporting the BRL teams in financial matters, working closely with the Senior Development Finance Manager on the Homes England Funding Arrangement, preparing management and financial reports as well as driving efficient and robust processes.
As a small finance team there is always opportunity to get involved with a wide range of ad-hoc projects and get exposure to the full range of financial and accounting matters.
You will need good interpersonal skills, be a good communicator, with well-rounded financial and accounting skills. In addition, effective budgetary control and a high level of computer literacy (Excel and Word) are required.
What You'll Bring:
Your experience must include:
Part / Fully Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience
Experience of management and financial reporting.
Experience of working in property/construction.
Experience of working with multidisciplinary teams and supporting non-financial colleagues.
Numerical accuracy and attention to detail is a priority
