Maintenance / Renovation Helper

Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week
About 4 hours per day

Job Description:
Magnolia Estates of Grand Prairie is looking for a reliable part-time helper to assist with room upgrades and light maintenance projects at our assisted living facility.

This is a hands-on helper position. You do not need to be a licensed contractor. The owner/manager will be working with you directly and showing you what needs to be done. We are looking for someone dependable, respectful, willing to learn, and comfortable using basic tools.

Job Duties May Include:

Helping install TV wall mounts
Assisting with bathroom mirrors
Helping install bathroom shower trim
Changing door hinges
Replacing door handles
Installing blinds and curtains
Light painting or touch-up work
Moving small furniture or supplies
Cleaning up after projects
Other general room upgrade and maintenance tasks as needed
Requirements:

Basic knowledge of hand tools preferred
Must be dependable and show up on time
Must be able to follow directions
Must be respectful around seniors, residents, and staff
Must be able to lift, carry, bend, stand, and work with hands
Must be comfortable working inside an assisted living facility
Must pass required background checks before starting
No resident care duties and no medication duties
Preferred But Not Required:

Experience with basic handyman work
Experience installing blinds, door hardware, wall mounts, or trim
Own basic hand tools is a plus, but not required
Work Environment:
This work will be performed inside an active assisted living community. Professional behavior, respect for residents, and cleanliness are required at all times.

Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
