Job Description – Logistics Associate
Designation: Logistics Associate
Location: Raynagar, Bangalore
Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Associate to manage local material pickups and sample coordination for our retail distribution business. The role requires strong coordination skills, route planning abilities, vendor communication, and the capability to independently source products and samples from various suppliers and markets.
Key Responsibilities1. Local Pickup Coordination
Coordinate and arrange local pickups of materials/products from vendors across Bangalore and other major cities such as Mumbai, Chennai, and other locations as required.
Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure materials are ready for pickup and delivered to the warehouse on time.
Track pickup schedules and maintain timely follow-ups with vendors and transport partners.
Ensure accurate documentation and status updates for all pickups.
2. Route Planning & Execution
Plan daily pickup schedules efficiently based on pickup locations, priority, and timelines.
Have a strong understanding of Bangalore routes, traffic conditions, and geographical locations to optimize travel and reduce turnaround time.
Organize pickups in the most efficient sequence to maximize productivity and minimize delays.
Coordinate with warehouse and showroom teams regarding incoming materials.
3. Project Sample Sourcing & Coordination
Arrange product samples required for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Conduct detailed market research to identify vendors, suppliers, and sources for specific samples.
Search through catalogs, vendor databases, online resources, and market contacts to locate required products.
Coordinate with vendors to procure samples within the required timelines.
Maintain records of sample requests, sourcing status, and deliveries.
4. Vendor Management & Communication
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Follow up regularly for product availability, sample requirements, and pickup readiness.
Negotiate and coordinate timelines to ensure smooth material flow.
Escalate delays or sourcing challenges to the reporting manager promptly.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of pickups, deliveries, sample requests, and vendor communications.
Provide daily updates on completed pickups, pending tasks, and sourcing activities.
Ensure proper documentation for inventory movement and sample tracking.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Good communication and coordination skills.
Strong knowledge of Bangalore locations, routes, and navigation tools.
Ability to plan and prioritize multiple pickups and tasks effectively.
Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Google Sheets, Email, and Internet research).
Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Experience in logistics, procurement, supply chain, or vendor coordination will be an added advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Graduate or Diploma holder in any discipline.
Should speak Hindi and Kannada
1–3 years of experience in logistics, procurement, operations, or coordination roles.
Familiarity with vendor management and local market sourcing.
Self-motivated, organized, and willing to travel locally when required.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Timely completion of local pickups.
Accuracy and efficiency in route planning.
Turnaround time for sourcing and arranging project samples.
Vendor response and coordination effectiveness.
Daily task completion and reporting accuracy.
Reporting To: Procurement Manager
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordination, problem-solving, vendor interactions, and managing logistics operations in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
