A Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and implementation of an organizations logistics systems . They manage the movement of goods, products, and materials from one location to another, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Key responsibilities include:
• Managing inventory levels and warehouse stocks based on forecasted requirements
• Coordinating with transportation companies and route drivers for product pickups and deliveries
• Arranging logistics required shipments and negotiating costs with 3rd-party logistics providers
• Ensuring effective and timely implementation of daily operational goals, including shipping functions and inventory management
• Planning and arranging logistics for special projects and events
• Supervising and training warehouse personnel, including hiring and firing as needed
• Analyzing cost-effectiveness of transportation companies and vendors
