Job Details : Job Type: Full time Schedule: Flexible schedule is essential. Must be available to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Wage: Starting at $18.50/hour The role of the Lobby Porter is to maintain cleanliness standards of the public areas of the Hotel Arts thereby ensuring the safety and health of guests and clients. The Lobby Porter does this by completing the following tasks: Clean public washrooms to the standards of the Hotel Arts. Remove litter from the parking areas around the hotel daily. Check lobby furniture and floors daily and clean as needed. Vacuum hallways on the main floor and banquet areas. Vacuum guest room hallways as needed. Collect linens in support of Room Attendants as needed. Undertake special cleaning projects [e.g. guest room windows] as time and seasonal bookings allow. Function as a Room Attendant as needed. Assist Housekeeping supervisory staff when needed. Job Requirements : Must be available to work weekends & evenings Previous Hotel/Resort experience an asset High School or equivalent education preferred Ability to operate a various pieces of cleaning equipment Standing for long periods and some heavy lifting required Must be able to drive a two-ton truck Applicants who do not already have legal permission to work in Canada will not be considered.
