Job Description
• Responsibilities:
1. Legal Matters
- Act as the Authorized Representative for the Company and its affiliates, including Raffles Education Limited, Singapore, before judicial authorities, government offices, and statutory bodies.
- To manage and oversee the progression the ongoing legal cases and ensuring timely timely resolution of ongoing legal cases in courts and tribunals.
- Continuously monitor and update legal case listings, providing regular updates to management of the developments in ongoing matters.
2. Commercial Matters:
- Draft, review, negotiate, and administer contracts and agreements between the Company and its affiliates.
- Conduct legal research and provide commercial advice, including consulting with third-party professionals as needed.
3. Documentation and Archiving:
- Collaborate with the Corporate Secretarial and Finance Teams to maintain a comprehensive archive of physical and digital documents related to legal/commercial matters.
4. Additional Skills:
- Translate and adapt documents between Italian, English, and Hindi.
- Research and understand European and foreign laws to support management in legal decision-making.
• Qualifications:
- Law degree from a reputed university/college.
- Proficiency in legal research and contract management.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams/cross border teams.
• Desired Competencies:
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple cases and projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with European and international legal frameworks is an advantage.
