We are in the process of expanding our team and are looking for a talented Lead Mechanical Engineer to join us in our mission to create high-performance motor products for various applications, including 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers, power tillers, and industrial uses.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This is a key managerial role responsible for overseeing the design, prototyping, production, and manufacturing processes of our mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and lead a team of mechanical engineers and designers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
Oversee the design, prototyping, production, and manufacturing of mechanical systems and components for various motor applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
Develop and implement engineering best practices, standards, and processes to improve efficiency and quality.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Ensure project timelines and budgets are met, and effectively communicate project status to senior management.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and automotive technology, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation within the team.
Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges in the design and development process.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
6 months to 1 year of managerial or leadership experience.
Proven experience in designing, prototyping, producing, and manufacturing mechanical systems, preferably in the automotive or related industry.
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
