Job Title: Lead Front-End Engineer (React)
Location: Gurugram, 6 Days work from Office
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Lead Front-End Engineer to take charge of our web applications.
You’ll guide a team of developers, build scalable React applications, and make sure we
deliver fast, user-friendly products. This role is a mix of hands-on coding, mentoring,
and collaborating with designers and backend teams.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
• Set direction for front-end architecture and code quality.
• Mentor and support a team of 4–8 developers.
• Lead technical discussions and make decisions on tools and frameworks.
Feature Development
• Turn designs and product ideas into fully working, responsive web features.
• Work with product, design, and backend teams to build and ship features.
• Own the feature from start to finish, including release and feedback.
Testing & Code Quality
• Write and maintain unit, component, and end-to-end tests using tools like Jest,
Cypress, and Storybook.
• Help keep test coverage high and bugs low.
• Work with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or CircleCI to automate testing.
Performance & Accessibility
• Make sure apps load fast and work smoothly on all browsers.
• Follow accessibility (WCAG) guidelines.
• Fix performance issues using tools like React Profiler and Lighthouse.
Team & Process
• Lead Agile meetings like sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Encourage a positive team culture with learning and knowledge sharing.
• Suggest and try out new tools or methods that improve the way we work.
Skills & Experience
• 6+ years in front-end development; 4+ years using React.
• Strong in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience leading teams and owning large front-end projects.
• Familiar with state management tools like Redux, Zustand, or React Query.
• Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Comfortable using build tools like Webpack, Vite, ESLint, and Storybook.
• Strong in writing and maintaining tests.
• Good understanding of performance, accessibility, and browser support.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in using modern browser developer tools and React Developer Tools
for efficient debugging.
• Skilled in identifying and fixing complex UI bugs, memory leaks, and state related issues.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
• Experience with Next.js, Remix, or micro-frontends.
• Knowledge of Node.js, Express, or cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with React Native or edge platforms like Vercel or Cloudflare
Workers.
• Contributions to open-source projects or writing tech blogs.
