Law Accountant

Reports To:
Finance Director

Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will be the in-house Law Accountant for the firm with a caseload primarily focused on litigated awarded expenses. This will encompass a diverse range of cases, including RTA, EL/PL, and Disease claims. Key responsibilities will include preparing accounts of expenses, reviewing accounts, drafting objections, and engaging in negotiations with Third Party agents.

Skills Abilities:

Must have previous experience as a Law Accountant
Experience in drafting accounts of expenses.
Experience in assessing / negotiating accounts of expenses.
Experience in preparing points of objection / responses.
Accurate numeracy skills and the ability to work with data.
Ability to use initiative and problem solve situations as they arise.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand and interpret terminology, maintain attention to detail.
Strong Negotiation skills.
Demonstrate the capability to effectively manage and complete tasks within established timeframes, ensuring timely delivery without compromising quality or attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and MS Teams).
Ability to work well as an individual and as part of a team.

Hours of Work:

Full Time – 35 hours per week
