Unit/Project Description:
Laboratory Technician – Prebiotic Biophysics Research Program
The Origins of Life Laboratory at McMaster University is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to provide essential technical support for our prebiotic biophysics research group, starting as early as September 2026.
The technician will support experiments investigating the physical properties of abiotically synthesized biopolymers. Key responsibilities include the operation and maintenance of specialized equipment, such as our planetary simulation chamber and acoustic levitator, alongside standard laboratory instrumentation.
