Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Lab Technician to join our team at Madha Medical College & Research Institute, Chennai. As a Lab Technician, you will perform laboratory analysis and prepare reports on test results. You will also maintain the accuracy of data, collect, label, and analyze samples, and ensure the safe handling of chemicals and biological substances. The ideal candidate should be able to design and execute laboratory testing, record observations, and interpret findings in line with safety guidelines and standard procedures. Responsibilities:
• Perform laboratory analysis and prepare detailed reports on test results at Madha Medical College & Research Institute.
• Understand and apply chemical/corrosion theory to the laboratory testing processes.
• Perform equipment repairs and calibration checks, ensuring all equipment is working properly.
• Collect, label, and analyze samples or substances using the correct testing equipment.
• Design and execute laboratory tests in accordance with standard testing procedures, recording all findings.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of experimental data and test results (both written and electronic).
• Ensure safety guidelines are strictly followed within the laboratory environment at Madha Medical College & Research Institute.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field.
• Valid laboratory technician license.
• Proven experience as a lab technician, preferably in a medical or research institute setting like Madha Medical College & Research Institute.
• Experience operating both electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and database systems.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure with superb dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
