We are a small sandwich shop in Marda loop and looking to expand! Located in the heart of Marda Loop, Bonjour Sandwich shop has become a staple for European sandwiches. Open since September 2024, we can see the exponential growth and the opportunities to grow bigger in the next year. Surrounded by popular cafés and restaurants, the area is very lively and summer will continue to bring new customers keen to discover the tastes of France and Italy.
Hours of operation:
Sunday: 9-6
Monday - Wednesday: 10-6
Thursday - Friday : 10-8
Saturday: 9-8
Job description:
You will be working alongside the Owner/Executive chef, creating a strong duo to run the business. Daily kitchen and storage inventory, daily ordering, organizing the space, staff management will be your main tasks as the manager in charge. Strong communication and organizational skills are expected. You will be the person of reference for staff and will be making executive decisions on a daily. Expect 40h-45h per week. You will be scheduled Wednesday - Sunday closing most nights.
Duties:
a. Staff Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate back-of-house employees, including line cooks and prep staff.;
b. Inventory & Cost Control: Manage food and supply inventory, oversee deliveries, minimize
waste, process ordering and grocery shopping when needed.;
c. Quality Assurance: Monitor food preparation, portion control, and presentation to ensure every dish meets brand standards.; and
d. Health & Safety: Enforce strict sanitation, hygiene, and fire safety regulations, including routine equipment maintenance and temperature logging..
Requirements:
- Driving licence and vehicle mandatory
- proof of kitchen experience or culinary school student
- Proserv mandatory
- Food safe certification mandatory
- 2 references
- Open availabilities for nights and weekends
