Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or related field
Responsibilities
In this role, you will independently execute and report on metallurgical test work, operate and maintain laboratory equipment, manage samples and hazardous materials, collaborate with teammates and vendors, and apply advanced technical and problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality and safe laboratory operations
Monday-Friday, standard working hours
Perform metallurgical test work, including bench sample preparation, laboratory testing, accurate data reporting, and detailed documentation of all procedures
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, coordinate ordering and inventory of consumables, and manage hazardous materials in compliance with safety protocols
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and communicate with vendors to resolve issues with laboratory instrumentation and equipment
Train and guide other employees in laboratory methods, safe sample handling, and proper procedures
Assess and update laboratory procedures such as SOPs, maintain clear and organized records, and actively participate in safety inspections and continuous improvement initiatives
