We are hiring for projects in the Middle East. Team consists of frontend and backend developers, data analysts and data scientists, architects, analysts and project managers. You will work with modern technologies and be an integral part of continuing to evolve our high-performing platforms. We are looking for a strong KDB developer architect for an existing development team and contributing to the next generation of softwares. A long list of new features needs to be developed. Strong software engineering skills are required as this is role is not restricted to understanding the technology, but also the business requirements and architectural vision of the platforms.
Responsibilities
• Hands-on development of a next-generation research analytics and trading platform
• Maintaining and owning research analytics and trading platform
• Configuring KDB services
• Working on large-scale financial data problems, in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and highly collaborative team
• Evaluating and selecting technology solutions that will directly impact Quantitative Researchers and Portfolio Managers
• Assisting Quantitative Research teams to utilize the analytics and trading platform.
Qualifications
• 10+ Years overall relevant experience
• 7+ Years of hands-on development experience with KDB+/Q
• Strong knowledge of Capital Markets, especially in the Securities and Equities industry
• Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix and scripting languages
• Exposure to electronic trading systems and/or real-time financial data management and analytics
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with quantitative researchers or traders to understand their needs and design and engineer scalable, robust solutions.
• Experience working in the BSFI industry is a must.
• Experience in translating business requirements.
• Experienced in working with an agile delivery model.
• Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or a related field
