Junior Engineer (USA)
Description
AP Dynamics is looking for a talented and self-motivated Junior Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX with the possibility of the first year being remote. The Junior Engineer will be responsible for the following duties:
Perform FEA for a variety of equipment and structures including pipelines.
Perform stress analysis and pressure vessel studies.
Design piping systems according to ASME B31 codes.
Apply criteria given in codes and standards in the preparation of design recommendations.
Write detailed technical reports as required.
Complete the assigned task according to project budget and schedule.
Submit progress reports when required.
Participate in project meetings.
Follow methodologies required for the analysis and studies of the project.
Work collaboratively with Project Mangers, multidisciplinary Project Engineers, CAD designers, and other technical disciplines as part of a combined integrated team.
Estimate workload requirements for assigned effort.
Work towards obtaining PE Status within 4 years and maintaining engineer status with appropriate state engineering board.
Enhance positive client relationships, and
Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
1 to 3 years of working experience.
Registered in the US as an Engineer-in-Training is preferred.
Proficient in Abaqus, AutoPipe, CADWorx, Caesar, and Python software is considered an asset.
Proficient in standard Windows software.
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and analytical skills, and
Self-motivated to further engineering skills and knowledge.
