Junior CRM Specialist
Job Description
Building a new category is hard. Like, really hard. But it's beautiful, and there's nothing we'd rather be doing. Punt is building the future of entertainment: social casino and prediction markets today, with more verticals shipping this year, all in one platform. We're one of the fastest-growing companies in the space.
Our approach is simple: we hire for talent density, not headcount. We want the brightest, hungriest, most creative people we can find, and we care far more about raw ability and drive than resume lines or years in the industry. We work incredibly hard, we hold a high bar, and we love the climb. If you want to do the best work of your life alongside people who'll push you to be great, this is the room.
The Role
We're looking for a Junior CRM Specialist who wants real ownership. You'll shape how we engage and retain players from day one. No hand-holding, no busywork. If you're sharp, move fast, and want your work to matter immediately, this is for you.
No prior CRM experience required. We hire for raw ability and drive, not resume lines.
This role is fully onsite in our Vancouver office.
What You'll Do
• Own player lifecycle campaigns end-to-end (onboarding, win-back, loyalty, cross-sell), from hypothesis to launch to read-out
• Build segments and personalize messaging off real behavioral and engagement data
• Write the content, templates, and messaging that goes out to players, and make it good
• Run A/B tests on timing, content, and offers, and read the results honestly: real incrementality, not vanity metrics
• Diagnose problems in the data. Find the leak in the funnel, form a point of view, ship the fix
• Work with design and product to build creative that's on-brand and converts
• Bring ideas from outside the category: games, consumer apps, internet culture. We are not looking for CRM best practices
Who You Are
• Recent grad or early-career (internships and startup stints count). We hire for horsepower, not years
• Exceptionally bright and fast: you learn quickly, hold several moving parts at once, and push deeper than you're asked to
• You reason from first principles. When you hit "that's just how it's done," you ask what problem it solves and whether it still holds
• Creative with real taste. You can write, and you bring ideas instead of waiting for direction
• Resourceful to a fault: you'd rather teach yourself the tool, reach for AI, and dig up the answer than wait to be shown
• You live and breathe this world. Games, prediction markets, trading, and internet culture aren't things you're "open to," they're already yours, and you can explain why a game's loop or a viral moment worked, not just that you've seen it
• Hungry and self-directed: you've gone hard at something nobody assigned you (a side project, a competitive pursuit, a community you built)
• You thrive on pace, high standards, direct feedback, and minimal process
Nice to Have
• You've shipped something on your own: a side project, a product, a bot, a store, anything real
• A competitive track record: poker, trading, chess, high-rank competitive gaming, olympiads
• You've built an audience or a community online
• Fluent with AI beyond the chat box: agents, automations, real prompt craft
• Basic SQL or data analysis
• Copywriting, content, or community/social experience
• CRM or marketing automation exposure (Braze, Optimove, Customer.io). Genuinely optional. We'll teach you the stack
What We Offer
• Real ownership from day one. Your work ships immediately and moves numbers you can watch
• Direct mentorship from senior marketing and growth leaders, and direct access to the founders
• A growth curve that takes a decade elsewhere. Clear the bar and your scope expands fast, well past year one
• A small, high-talent-density team where the standard is high and the pace is real
