Through the combined efforts of the engineering department, sales team, mechanical service technicians, and the rest of the Dependable family, we ensure our designs meet the needs of your department and your apparatus is built to last.
We are currently searching for a Junior Buyer to join the team for our location in Brampton.
Responsibilities:
Solicits quotes and places purchase orders with suppliers.
Manage multiple orders with accuracy
Tracks deliveries of purchased goods and maintains efficient production scheduling.
Negotiates pricing and maintains records within the visual system.
Tracking trends in pricing and supplier performance
Purchase parts, materials, and equipment according to production schedules
Maintains/organizes consolidated suppliers lists in respect to components, raw materials and miscellaneous commodities
Assists in the maintenance of appropriate administrative requirements relative to procurement of all commodities including quotations, price lists, quality assessments, etc.
Work with Engineering, Productions and Sales Departments
Follows up with suppliers to ensure that orders meet quality specifications
Other duties and projects as assigned, including providing backup for Logistics and other purchasing functions during vacation and sick days.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience as a Buyer/Purchaser
Previous purchasing experience, preferably from manufacturing, automotive or fleet sector
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel and Dynamic Purchasing System
Knowledge of vehicle parts and upfitting is a strong asset
Data entry skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
