Jr. Paralegal
Job Description
Extremely busy solo practitioner law office seeking a Jr. Paralegal able to work independently to gather information from clients, as well as other resources, to draft skeleton pleadings that will be reviewed and finalized by the attorney.
The Jr. Paralegal will be working closely with the attorney to help review her court calendar, manage emails from the court, clients and adversaries.
Need an individual who is highly organized, prompt, great attendance regarding work, a problem solver and who wants to work while thinking quickly on their feet.
Attorney is very busy handling the office and expects this individual to be able to keep up and be able to take any constructive criticism from the attorney or coworkers only as a means of improving themselves.
Individual must be bilingual due to the amount of Spanish speaking clients handled by the law firm.
Individual must be computer proficient dealing with emails, zoom links, teams, etc.
Requirements:
- Associates Degree or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in using document management systems and legal research tools.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
