Roles and Responsibility:
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and environments (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.).
• Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability of server infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including performance bottlenecks, server crashes, and network outages.
• Apply security patches, updates, and system upgrades regularly to maintain optimal performance.
• Automate routine tasks using Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and file systems.
• Monitor system logs and proactively address potential problems.
• Ensure security best practices are followed, including firewalls, VPNs, and other security tools.
• Collaborate with the DevOps and development teams to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
Skill Requirement:
• Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems (installation, configuration, and management).
• Familiarity with shell scripting (Bash, Python) to automate tasks.
• Understanding of system monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.
• Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Exposure to version control systems like Git.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
