Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across a variety of commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Duties
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and appliances on construction sites and during remodeling projects
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts
Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to assemble and install plumbing components
Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues related to leaks, blockages, or mechanical failures
Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC specialists, and other trades to ensure seamless project progress
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols
Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project documentation
Experience
Proven field experience in construction plumbing or related mechanical trades with a strong understanding of plumbing installation and repair processes
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
Hands-on experience with welding, pipe threading, and the use of various hand tools and power tools in a construction environment
Knowledge of HVAC systems and general mechanical principles related to plumbing systems
Familiarity with remodeling projects, maintenance tasks, and handyman skills is preferred
Experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety standards including heavy lifting and site-specific protocols
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or ability to obtain one is a plus but not required
