Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Duties
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and appliances in new construction, remodeling, and maintenance projects
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts
Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to complete installations and repairs
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols
Conduct system inspections to identify issues and perform troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation of plumbing systems
Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters and HVAC technicians to coordinate project tasks effectively
Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and compliance with safety standards
Requirements
Valid Journeyman Plumber license or certification recognized by local authorities
Proven experience in construction plumbing within commercial or residential settings
Strong mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, schematics reading, and system troubleshooting
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and pipe installation techniques
Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics accurately
Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety procedures and heavy lifting techniques
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work
Knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus; familiarity with remodeling or handyman tasks is advantageous
Valid driver’s license for commercial driving as required by project needs
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
