Located in the North Thompson valley, at Simpcw Resources Group we provide environmental, management, and operational services while preserving Simpcw culture and heritage with respect towards the environment. Our goals include creating economic growth from the commercial development of natural resources within the Simpcw'ulécw (Simpcw Territory) by being the major contractor and competing for work in both the public and private sectors.


Current Opportunities:
Simpcw Resources LLP is growing rapidly and looking for a dependable and enthusiastic Resort Caretaker to join our team. Reporting to the Manager of Commercial Ventures, the Johnson Lake Resort Caretaker, your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all resort facilities and amenities. You will be tasked with maintaining cleanliness, safety, and functionality across the resort grounds, including accommodations, recreational areas, and common spaces. Additionally, you will be responsible for attending to guest needs, resolving issues promptly, and contributing to a positive guest experience.


Responsibilities:

Proactive and responsive maintenance of all resort facilities including main lodge, docs, + cabins, sheds, campsite, septic, water system, generator, and resort grounds.
Handle guest maintenance issues in a timely professional manner.
Provide Management with recommended renovations.
Stock cleaning supplies, tools, and miscellaneous needs.
Stock firewood for cabins and main lodge.
Basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing experience
Strong work ethic, communication, organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work alone and in a team environment.
Flexibility of shift scheduling, willingness to travel, working long hours in remote work location.
Qualifications


High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in hospitality management or related field preferred.
Prior experience in property maintenance, housekeeping, or guest services in a hospitality setting preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and vendors.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Knowledge of safety and emergency procedures, including first aid and CPR certification preferred.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
Must be physically and mentally capable of safely and effectively performing the required duties.
Valid Class 5 drivers license and clear driver’s abstract.
Level 1 First Aid.
